Hubsan X4 109S PRO

Pictures are appearing of the HUBSAN X4 109S PRO is this the real deal?

The latest Quadcopter from Hubsan the 109S PRO is soon to be released. The 109S is constructed using strong PC plastic that has been molded into a lightweight aerodynamic body shell which makes it  extremely robust and very stylish. It comes fitted with Led lights under the motor arms which come in very useful for orientation and night flying missions. The motor to motor distance is 260mm which makes it far more compact than some of its competitors. The motors are powered by a 11.1V 5300 mAh Lipo battery which enables the Quadcopter to fly for over 30 minutes. The standard model does not come with a camera mount but the multirotor will support a GoPro camera. Among the interesting features  of this Hubsan are the Global Positioning System (GPS) with return to home ability and  Headless flying functionality. It also has barometer controlled altitude hold and it has been designed to be APP Waypoint up gradable. The transmitter has exchangeable clover leaf or patch antennas and is Fatshark compatible which makes the 109S PRO the perfect model for FPV flying. Hubsan seem to be dragging their heels on this model but I’m sure it will be worth the wait. The Hubsan X4 H107 range has established itself as the leader in the micro Quadcopter market and the H111 is the best Nano Quadcopter available (Both these small Quadcopters have been extensively copied but none of the clones come close) so the quality of this Hubsan model is unlikely to be a concern.

AEE TORUK AP10 Quadcopter

Coming soon another DJI Phantom competitor, this is the AEE TORUK AP10 Quadcopter boasting a 16MP (Mega Pixel) Camera with a 120 degree wide angle lens, no gimbal. I think the company behind this Quadcopter is the same AEE that make the Magicam, if it is we should see some pretty impressive quality images. First impressions are that it looks very robust, this Quadcopter was first seen at CES 2014.  Shenzhen AEE Aviation Technology  are making the TORUK QUADCOPTER and this won’t be their first foray into the Multirotor market as in 2011 they  released the F50 Quadcopter system with anti avoidance technology. This was a high end platform that was aimed at the top end of the market with a hefty price tag of over  $30,000! What is encouraging is that they know the UAV market as they are not new entrants. The more I look into the company behind this model the more I like it. Have we at last seen a real competitor to the DJI Phantom or the 3DRobotics IRIS only time will tell but this Multirotor has got me excited! It should retail at under £500 and if it delivers on its promises I can see this being a big seller. There will also be another version of this Quadcopter the AP11 and as soon as we receive any information we will post it here,

The price of the Phantom  Vision plus is like;y to be about $100 more than the existing model. The internet has been buzzing today(7-4-2014) with news of this models imminent release. SkyView OFM Quadcopter

Here is a link the teaser trailer for this new 350 Quadcopter from Only Flying Machines. Alishanmao has made thousands of flight videos and Only Flying Machines are entering this 350 competitive space that has been dominated by DJI Phantoms. OFM are usually expensive compared to other suppliers but they do know how to build Quadcopters. I’m not expecting this Quadcopter to be released any time soon as Alishanmao is talking about a complete redesign of the body shape but the video is saying  they will start taking preorders at the end of April for May delivery. We don’t think OFM will stay with this name and are likely to re-brand it. It will have to be exceptional. reasonably priced and spares will have to be readily available. OFM have announced that they are appointing a partner in the USA (XAircraft America) for distribution.

The features of this Quadcopter look interesting especially the control in RTH (return to home) mode and as we get any more information we will post updates here.
